Yesterday was very special since My AP seminar class made a special appreciation meeting for Jorge, AP Research, who took time during the entire second semester to mentor over 10 AP seminar students. We teach our students skills that go beyond academic and research skills. Jorge’s kindness made him help first before finishing his paper. The College Board, the T in QUEST was truly achieved. Proud to be a shark 🦈 InterAmerican Academy (Official Page) and proud to be their teacher. Hoping for many #AP Capstone diploma though I think we already won! 🏆

Looking forward for Week Without Walls and the trip to Regeneration Field Institute! WWW is organized by IAA teacher Chris Holmquist. WWW is part of the Education Without Frontiers Program, where students learn about the world through real-life hands-on experiences such as memorable trips outside of the secondary school classroom. These trips are structured to spark and maintain the curiosity in youth regarding many subject areas of study. A group of HS students will visit RFI in September for Week Without Walls. They presented to parents, students & staff about their incredible programming, and with our leadership team to talk about future partnerships! IAA was invited by ISC the International School of Curitiba to participate with other international schools in the #Ai4Good initiative designed to #empower students to not only master the essentials of artificial intelligence but also to apply their new-found knowledge in solving real-world challenges aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). #Ai4Good hosted 491 students and 9 schools in 6 countries!
